Who is responsible for your information

LocalizeRank is the controller or business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@localizerank.com. Before publishing, the site owner should add the legal business name, business address, and applicable jurisdiction to this section where required by local law.

Information we collect

When you visit the website, we may receive standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages viewed. This information is collected automatically and is used only in aggregate to understand general traffic patterns.

When you place an order, we receive the information you share during onboarding: your name, email address, App Store URL, current target markets, main competitors, and any additional notes included in your onboarding email. Stripe processes payments and LocalizeRank does not receive or store your full card number or security code. We may receive payment status, billing details, invoice information, and a transaction identifier from Stripe.

If you contact us directly by email, we retain the content of that correspondence including attachments, timestamps, and any personal details you choose to share.

How information is used

Information you provide is used exclusively to operate and improve the service. Specifically, we use it to confirm receipt of payment, begin and complete the research and localization work, communicate with you about delivery timelines and revisions, respond to support questions, and maintain business records required for accounting and legal compliance.

We do not use your app details, competitor information, or market research for any purpose other than fulfilling your specific order. Your app information is not shared with other customers or used to inform work done for competing apps.

Sharing and service providers

LocalizeRank does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. Information may be processed by a limited number of third-party providers necessary to operate the service. These may include Stripe for payment processing and fraud checks, Google Workspace for email and document delivery, Vercel for website hosting, and Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for newsletter delivery when you subscribe. Google Analytics is used only when you opt in. Each provider is bound by its own privacy policy and applicable data protection law. Stripe may process payment, device, IP, and fraud- prevention information under its own privacy notices.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or regulatory authority, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of LocalizeRank or others.

Analytics and local storage

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the website — including which pages are viewed, how long sessions last, what devices and browsers are used, and which actions such as clicking pricing buttons or beginning checkout are taken. Google Analytics may process information such as your IP address (which Google anonymises by default), browser type, device identifiers, and referral source.

Analytics is loaded only after you explicitly accept it through the consent banner shown on your first visit. Your preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key "localizerank-analytics-consent". If you decline, no analytics data is collected. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data for localizerank.com.

Cookies

LocalizeRank does not set first-party cookies. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set its own cookies (such as _ga and _gid). Stripe-hosted checkout may also use cookies or similar technologies for security, fraud prevention, and checkout functionality. These third-party technologies are subject to the provider's privacy notices. No advertising or retargeting cookies are used by LocalizeRank.

Retention and security

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected — typically the duration of the service engagement plus any period required for accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Onboarding emails and order correspondence are retained for a minimum of one year to support revision requests and dispute handling.

We take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections to inaccurate data, or request deletion of your information, subject to records we are required to retain for legitimate business or legal purposes. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@localizerank.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
